WHAT’S AROUND THE CORNER?
Not knowing what’s around the corner can sometime put us a ride of no return. To often today, one can find themselves on the mortgage rollercoaster with on end in site. After working hard, trying to keep our home that we both enjoyed, and cared for, we soon found ourselves facing foreclosure or bankruptcy. Not sure which one would have been better over the other, we found ourselves at the end of our rope. I can remember dreading going to the mail box, thinking if this would be the day when we would get that final notice to move out, or that knock at the door with the register letter. Or worst of all, climbing up 13 steps to the front door, only to find out the key no longer works. I won’t even start talking about the non stop phone calls, and the sleepless nights. It was clear that we were falling and falling fast. All we could think to do during this point was to ask God for his guidance.
Like he said, all we have to do is just as, and have faith. Not knowing at the time, he was always there with us. On one of those dreadful walks to the mail box, I found a letter address to myself from “Blue Water Financial Solutions.” Normally I wouldn’t even look at such an advertisement, but something deep down inside of me said to take a look at this.
As I stood in the kitchen next to the trash can, I began to read. Next I found myself talking to my husband about the program. It seemed as if it was the answer to all of our prayers. We all know how that works, if it looks to good to be true, then it probably is. Anyway, the program talked about being the Point of Contact (POC) for the nagging phone calls, working with the bank along with the mortgage companies to come to agreement for a sale, but most importantly, we could walk away not owing another dime on the house.
Soon after that we were talking to recommended Real Estate Agents Linda Ward and Sandy Tuttle. They had to be God sent. Linda explained to us what the term “SHORT SELL” meant, and how this could work for us. You could tell right up front that she understood, and cared about what we were going through. The bottom line is they took us by the hand from point A-Z. To make a long story short we turned our home over to our agents on February 16th, 2008, and we closed on July 30th, 2008, you do the math.
